Mixing the TV series named Les Pays d’en haut
The historical drama series Les Pays d’en haut is a remake of Les Belles Histoires des pays d’en haut, a series that was broadcast in Quebec from 1956 to 1970.
Michel Corriveau composed the original music and collaborated with Lamajeure’s team of Sylvain Lefebvre and Maxime Vermette, who mixed the music for the series. Vermette says, “Throughout the two seasons, Michel has created strong themes to personify the series. As the story develops and the psyche of the characters progress, we observe how the musical universe intensifies and becomes even richer. It is great to witness how the music is refined over time.”
Les Pays d’en haut won for Best Editing for Season 1 at the 2016 Gemeaux Awards. The series is in its second season and airs on ICI Radio.
